Product Spotlight: Equine Wound Shield

2014-11-21_0948The Pinnaclife Equine Wound Shield creates a water resistant, non-occlusive barrier for skin by using an advanced dimethicone silicone. This barrier acts to protect the skin but it still allows the skin to breathe.

Wound Shield also helps relieve inflammation and itching as well as control and prevent infection.  Wound Shield promotes healing by its ability to penetrate the upper layers of the skin and work from the inside out. It also promotes healing through the signature ingredient Olivamine 10, which protects against free radicals that lead to inflammation and disease, allowing healing to occur up to 50% faster.

It is ideal for all equines with: chronic or acute wounds, non-healing wounds, lacerations, abrasions, skin infections, burns, incision sites, rain rot, ringworm, scratches or”grease heal”,  and bacterial infections.

Healing For Horses: Treating a Sarcoid Necrotizing Wound

At Pinnaclife, we extend our research and healing to dogs and cats as well as horses. Our favorite part is seeing the relief and healing we can provide. This horse had a history of reoccurring verrucous sarcoids (wart-like benign tumors), and had a non healing wound form in the axilla area (armpit). Different types of antibiotics were used, but the wound would not heal. Pinnaclife Equine Wound Shield was applied daily for 6 weeks.
